Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use leftover rotisserie chicken for a quicker option.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Can substitute with other cheeses if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas For a healthier version, use whole wheat tortillas or lettuce wraps.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
  • Incorporate the shredded chicken into the skillet, stirring to combine with the garlic.
  • Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to ensure the chicken is well-seasoned.
  • Add the shredded mozzarella cheese into the skillet. Mix until the cheese melts and combines with the chicken, creating a gooey mixture.
  • Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface. Evenly distribute the cheesy chicken mixture onto each tortilla.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it tightly from the bottom to form a wrap.
  • If desired, return to the skillet seam-side down and toast on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  • Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Serve warm either on their own or with dipping sauce. Customize with jalapeños or other vegetables if desired.
