Ingredients
  

For the pasta

  • 1 cup ditalini pasta Or any small pasta shape like elbow macaroni or shells.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Use unsalted butter for better control of seasoning.

For the sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Sauté until fragrant.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Use low-fat milk for a lighter option.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.

For serving

  • Parmesan cheese, for serving Grated.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional) For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring salted water to a boil and cook the ditalini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Cooking

  • Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  • Add the cooked ditalini pasta to the pot and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure to cook the pasta al dente for the best texture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently, adding a bit of extra cream if necessary. For added nutrition and flavor, consider mixing in cooked vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes, or meats like bacon or chicken.
