Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup coconut milk Regular milk can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon condensed milk
  • Oil for frying Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the coconut milk and condensed milk together.
  • Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir until you have a smooth dough.
  • Take small pieces of dough and shape them into balls or rings.

Frying

  • In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat.
  • Fry the donuts for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Remove them from the oil and let them drain on paper towels.
  • Sprinkle with your choice of toppings if desired.

Notes

Serve these donuts warm or at room temperature. Pair them with coffee or tea, or serve with dipping sauces like chocolate or fruit syrups. Store in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days at room temperature or keep in the fridge for a week. For longer storage, freeze for about a month and reheat in the oven.
