Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 2 cups Water Acts as the perfect medium for steeping.
  • 2 cups Milk Use dairy or plant-based milk for creaminess.

Flavor Ingredients

  • 4 sticks Cinnamon Or 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
  • 4 beans Vanilla (split and scraped) Or 4 teaspoons vanilla extract.
  • 2 pieces Star anise (optional) Adds an exotic note.
  • 4 teaspoons Loose-leaf black tea or 4 black tea bags (optional) For an additional layer of flavor.

Sweetener

  • to taste Honey or sweetener of choice Enhances the flavor and balances spice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a small pot.
  • Add cinnamon sticks and vanilla beans to the boiling water, turn off the heat, and cover the pot to steep. If using ground cinnamon and vanilla extract, add them directly to the pot without steeping.
  • Allow to steep for about 10 minutes.

Adding Tea and Milk

  • If using, add 4 teaspoons of loose-leaf black tea or 4 black tea bags to the mixture and let brew for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
  • In a separate pot, heat 2 cups of milk over low to medium heat without boiling.
  • Once warm, strain the cinnamon-vanilla infusion into the pot of warm milk.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Add sweetener to taste and stir until dissolved.

Serving

  • Serve hot in mugs or chilled over ice in a tall glass.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick if desired.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness as needed and experiment with different plant-based milks.
