Ingredients
  

Brownie Base

  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips Use high-quality dark chocolate for best results.
  • 1 cup butter Unsalted butter is recommended.
  • 4 large eggs Room temperature for better mixing.
  • 2 cups sugar Granulated sugar works best.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour.

Cheesecake Layer

  • 16 oz cream cheese Soften before mixing for smooth texture.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For the top chocolate layer.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor to cheesecake layer.

Instructions
 

Base Layer

  • Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips with the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Once melted, remove from heat and mix in 2 eggs, 1 cup of sugar, and the flour until well combined.
  • Pour this mixture into a lined 9x13 inch pan.

Middle Layer

  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with the remaining 1 cup of sugar and 2 eggs until the mixture is smooth.
  • Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the brownie base layer in the pan.

Top Layer

  • Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it simmers.
  • Pour the hot cream over the remaining chocolate chips and stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Spread this chocolate layer over the cheesecake layer in the pan.

Bake

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the brownies for about 45 minutes.
  • Once done, allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  • After cooling, refrigerate them for at least 4 hours before cutting.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. They can also be frozen for longer storage. Just wrap them well in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe container. Thaw in the fridge before serving. For extra crunch, add nuts or chocolate chunks to the brownie base.
