Ingredients
  

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin recommended
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Substitutes available: regular paprika or cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 piece lemon, sliced For topping
  • Fresh parsley For garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  • Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet and brush the marinade over the top of each fillet.
  • Arrange lemon slices on top of the salmon.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve the salmon hot with side dishes like steamed vegetables, rice, or salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
