Ingredients
  

Meat and Seafood

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped

Vegetables

  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Canned Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) corn, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) beans, drained (such as kidney or pinto)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

Liquids

  • 4 cups beef broth

Spices

  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pot, add the ground beef and onion. Cook until the beef is browned.
  • Stir in the garlic and smoked sausage. Cook until the sausage is slightly browned.
  • Add the diced potatoes, corn, beans, diced tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, and the cooked bacon to the pot.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30-40 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

Serve hot in bowls with fresh bread or cornbread on the side. For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro.
