Sweet Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk Warm, not hot
  • 1/2 cup butter Melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until warm.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • Add the warm milk mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix well and knead on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Punch down the dough and shape it into rolls.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking pan and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm; can be enjoyed plain or with butter/jam. Great with roasted meats, soups, or salads. Use for sliders or mini sandwiches.
