Ingredients
  

For the Twists

  • 1 sheet puff pastry Ensure it is cold before use for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon Adjust based on personal preference.
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter For brushing on the pastry.
  • 1 egg egg (for egg wash) Beaten for brushing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Brush the melted butter onto the pastry and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over it.
  • Cut the pastry into strips and twist each strip several times.
  • Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the twists for a golden finish.

Baking

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a cup of tea or coffee. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle icing for extra sweetness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days or freeze for longer storage.
