Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is softened to mix smoothly.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 each lemon, juiced and zested Add more lemon zest or juice for a stronger lemon flavor.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the assembly

  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced You can substitute other fruits like peaches or cherries.
  • 1 each egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  • Roll out the crescent roll dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and shape it into a circular ring.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a half-inch border.
  • Place sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese filling.
  • Fold the dough over the filling to form a ring and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Brush the top with the beaten egg.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top for extra sweetness. Pairs well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Can be reheated in the oven at low temperature.
