  • 1 small Onion (sliced)
  • 2 slices Cheese (optional, such as cheddar or Swiss)
  • to taste Condiments (such as mayonnaise, mustard, or barbecue sauce)

Preparation

  • Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest before slicing it thinly against the grain.
  • Toast the bread lightly in the skillet or oven.

Assembly

  • Assemble the sandwich by layering the sliced steak, lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese on the bread.
  • Add condiments as desired, then close the sandwich and serve immediately.

Notes
