Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp ground allspice

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups apple cider
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Crust

  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar for crust
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for crust
  • 2 tbsp melted butter for crust

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  • In another bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
  • Add eggs, apple cider, and vanilla to the butter mixture. Stir well.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon for the crust in a small bowl.
  • Brush the top of the warm loaf with melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over it.
  • Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with coffee or tea. Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. Adjust spice amounts to taste. Can add chopped nuts or replace apple cider with pumpkin puree for variations.
