Ingredients
  

For the Turkey

  • 1 turkey breast 1 turkey breast (about 3-5 pounds) Choose the size according to your slow cooker.

For the Maple Mixture

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup maple syrup Use pure maple syrup for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar Adds tanginess to the dish.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup chicken broth Use low-sodium broth if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • optional Fresh herbs for garnish Use as desired.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
  • Place the turkey breast in the slow cooker.
  • Pour the maple syrup mixture over the turkey breast, ensuring it is well coated.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for about 6-8 hours or until the turkey is fully cooked and tender.
  • Once done, remove the turkey from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Slice and serve with some of the cooking liquid drizzled over the top.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the turkey breast in the maple mixture overnight in the fridge before cooking. If you like your turkey skin crispy, you can broil it for a few minutes after cooking.
