Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3-4 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: herbs like thyme or rosemary Feel free to add these for extra flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Season the brisket with salt and pepper.
  • Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  • Lay the brisket on top of the onions and garlic.
  • Pour the beef broth over the brisket.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the brisket is tender.
  • Remove the brisket and let it rest before slicing or shredding.
  • Serve with the cooked onions and broth, and enjoy!

Notes

To store leftovers, let the brisket cool down completely. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to three months. Use a meat thermometer to check for at least 195°F for tenderness. You can sear the brisket for richer flavor before slow cooking.
