Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder Ensure it is fresh for the best rise.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg Room temperature is best.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and egg.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly.
  • Shape into rolls and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

These rolls are best served warm right out of the oven. You can enjoy them plain or spread with butter, jelly, or cream cheese. They also pair nicely with a side of fresh fruit or a hot cup of coffee. To store leftover rolls, place them in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for a couple of days, or frozen for longer storage. Just wrap each roll and place them in a freezer bag. If they'd been frozen, they can be warmed in the oven before serving.
