  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • to taste green onions for garnish

Preparation

  • Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  • In another bowl, coat the chicken with cornstarch.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the chicken, and cook until golden brown.
  • Add the sauce mixture to the skillet and stir until the chicken is well coated and the sauce thickens.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, fry the chicken in hot oil for a crispy texture before adding the sauce. Adjust the sweetness with honey according to your taste, and add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for up to two months.
