For the Feta Rolls

  • 12 oz feta cheese Use fresh feta cheese for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs You can add grated Parmesan cheese for a crunchier texture.
  • 1 large egg Whisk together with spices.
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust the amount for spice level.

For the Chili Honey

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes Adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Drain the feta cheese and pat it dry with a paper towel. Cut the feta into sticks.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg, oregano, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper together. Coat each feta stick in the egg mixture, then roll it in the breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Place the sticks on the baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure they get golden and crispy on all sides.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the feta rolls cool completely. Place them in an airtight container and keep them in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, bake them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes or until warm and crispy again.
