Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage Any type of sausage you prefer.
  • 6 pieces eggs
  • 1 cup milk Can use any type of milk.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese Cheddar or your choice.
  • 2 cups bread cubes Optional, can also use diced vegetables.
  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Optional.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Optional.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • In a greased casserole dish, layer the sausage, optional bread cubes or vegetables, and shredded cheese.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the top.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm cut into squares, with fresh herbs on top or alongside fresh fruit. Pairs well with coffee or orange juice. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
