Pasta Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta Use your favorite pasta shape.
  • 1 lb steak (sliced thin) Ribeye or sirloin recommended.
  • 1 onion (sliced) Any onion variety works.
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced) Any color you prefer.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup beef broth Use low sodium if preferred.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, consider substitutes.
  • 1 cup provolone cheese (shredded) Can substitute with cheddar or mozzarella.
  • Salt and pepper Adjust to taste.
  • Olive oil For cooking the steak and vegetables.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced steak and cook until browned, then remove from skillet.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  • Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in cream and cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Return the steak to the skillet, then add the pasta, mixing until well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle some extra cheese on top or add sliced jalapeños for a bit of spice. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
