  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust based on the sweetness of the peaches.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Can add extra for serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in the milk and melted butter until smooth.

Assembly

  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  • Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter (do not stir).
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the cobbler cool completely, then cover it with plastic wrap or foil and store in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze it well-covered to avoid freezer burn. You can also add berries or different spices for variation.
