  • 1 banana Use fresh, ripe for best flavor
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes Use more for a thicker smoothie
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional) Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor

Preparation

  • In a blender, combine the orange juice, coconut milk, banana, ice cubes, honey or maple syrup if using, and vanilla extract.
  • Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  • Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve the smoothie in tall glasses. Add a slice of orange or shredded coconut on top for extra flair. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 24 hours for best taste. Freeze portions for a cool treat later.
