Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large pot, combine the macaroni, water, milk, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 8-10 minutes, allowing the pasta to cook and most of the liquid to be absorbed.
  • After simmering, remove the pot from heat. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it is melted and creamy.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, stir the pasta occasionally while it cooks to prevent sticking. For a creamier texture, add more milk when stirring in the cheese. Consider adding different types of cheese like mozzarella or pepper jack for varied flavors. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
