  • 8 oz Pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine) Choose your favorite type.
  • 4 tbsp Butter Use unsalted for better control of seasoning.
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) Fresh garlic is recommended for best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon zest Zest from about one lemon.
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper Freshly ground preferred.
  • 1/4 cup Parsley (chopped, for garnish) Adds freshness and color.

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Stir in lemon juice and lemon zest, and cook for an additional minute.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, add a splash of water and warm gently.
