Ingredients
  

For the trifle

  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) Use fresh, ripe berries for the best flavor.
  • 1 pound cake or sponge cake, cut into cubes Chocolate cake or angel food cake can be used as alternatives.
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding or custard Homemade vanilla pudding can be made if store-bought is not available.
  • 1 cup whipped cream Greek yogurt can be used as a healthier substitute.
  • to taste Mint leaves for garnish (optional) Enhances presentation and flavor.

Assembly

  • In a large trifle bowl or individual serving cups, layer half of the cake cubes at the bottom.
  • Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the cake.
  • Spoon half of the vanilla pudding over the berries.
  • Add a layer of whipped cream over the pudding.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, berries, pudding, and whipped cream.
  • Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Layered Berry Trifle is best served chilled. It can be served directly in the trifle bowl or in individual cups for a more personal touch. To keep it fresh, cover it tightly with plastic wrap or store in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Best consumed within two to three days.
