Ingredients
  

For the Danish

  • 1 package King's Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is well-softened.
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

For the glaze

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
  • Take the King's Hawaiian rolls and slice them in half horizontally.
  • Place the bottom halves of the rolls in a baking dish.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolls.
  • Place the top halves of the rolls over the cream cheese layer.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and slightly puffed up.
  • While it bakes, mix the powdered sugar and milk for a simple glaze.
  • After baking, drizzle the glaze over the top and add any fruit or jam, if desired.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve your King's Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish warm or at room temperature. It can be cut into squares or served whole, perfect for sharing.
