  • 12 pieces Jalapeño peppers Choose firm and glossy jalapeños for the best flavor.
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded Use sharp cheddar for added flavor.
  • 12 slices Bacon Can use vegetarian bacon for a meat-free option.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free version.

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Adjust to taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Slice the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Stuff each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture.
  • Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  • Place the jalapeño poppers on a baking sheet and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.

Cooking

  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with creamy dips like ranch or sour cream. Can be prepared a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator until baking.
