Main Ingredients

  • 10 oz bag of Tostitos Scoop Tortilla Chips
  • 8 oz block of cream cheese, softened Make sure it's softened for easy mixing.
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 15 oz can of sweet corn, drained
  • 4 oz can of green chiles (choose mild or medium)

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Topping

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese For topping

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and egg until smooth.
  • Stir in the drained sweet corn, green chiles, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Scoop a spoonful of the mixture onto each Tostitos Scoop Tortilla Chip.
  • Place the chips on a baking sheet and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve Iowa Party Bites warm as an appetizer or snack. They are great on a platter, garnished with some fresh herbs if you like. You can also pair them with salsa or sour cream for dipping to add more flavor. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, place on a baking sheet and warm in the oven at a low temperature until heated through.
