  • 2 cups fresh pea pods Wash before use
  • 2 cups carrots, sliced Slice evenly for uniform cooking

Dressing

  • 3 tablespoons honey Adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon butter Can substitute with olive oil for vegan option

Seasoning

  • to taste pepper

Preparation

  • Wash the pea pods and slice the carrots.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced carrots to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes, until they begin to soften.
  • Add the pea pods to the skillet and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Drizzle the honey over the vegetables, stirring well to coat them evenly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the honey to glaze the vegetables.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm.

Notes

For added crunch, consider adding some chopped nuts, like almonds or walnuts, just before serving. This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
