  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated preferred for better melting
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in the cream cheese and mix until melted and creamy.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot over your favorite pasta and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg when cooking the sauce. Always stir the sauce gently to keep it smooth and creamy. If you prefer a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half for some of the heavy cream.
