Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling

  • 1 package Whole wheat pizza dough Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Low-fat mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • 1 cup Turkey pepperoni Sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning For flavor

For Baking

  • 1 cup Tomato sauce For dipping
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For brushing the tops

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface.
  • Cut the dough into rectangles.
  • Place a slice of mozzarella cheese and a few slices of turkey pepperoni on each rectangle.
  • Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
  • Roll the dough around the filling to form a log and seal the edges.
  • Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops with olive oil.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve the pizza rolls warm with a side of tomato sauce. You can add extra toppings like crushed red pepper or grated Parmesan cheese for flavor. To store leftover rolls, let them cool completely and place in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freeze individually for longer storage.
