Ingredients

Fries

  • 1 bag Frozen Crispy Fries Choose your favorite style, like crinkle-cut for added crunch.

Burger Patties

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 blend) Try turkey for a lighter option.
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt Essential for enhancing the meat’s natural flavors.
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper Opt for a coarser grind for more bite.
  • 1 tbsp Butter or Oil Optional for browning the patties.

Cheese Sauce

  • 2 cups Cheese (freshly grated) Use freshly grated cheese for a smooth sauce.
  • 1 cup Milk Whole or 2% milk adds creaminess.

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island Dressing Can be swapped with your favorite burger sauce.
  • 1/4 cup Pickles and Jalapeños Optional, choose your favorites for customization.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the frozen crispy fries according to the package instructions until they are golden and crispy.

Cooking the Patties

  • While the fries are baking, take the ground beef and form it into small patties. Season each patty with kosher salt and ground black pepper.
  • In a skillet, heat butter or oil over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the skillet, pressing them down slightly. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are cooked to your liking.

Making the Cheese Sauce

  • Once the patties are ready, reduce the heat to low. In a separate saucepan, combine shredded cheese and milk, stirring until the cheese melts and forms a smooth sauce.

Assembly

  • Place the crispy fries on a large serving plate. Top them with the cooked burger patties, drizzle the cheese sauce on top, and finish with Thousand Island dressing and any additional toppings like pickles or jalapeños.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For best results, reheat in the oven to keep everything crispy rather than using a microwave. Use freshly grated cheese for the best melting texture. Feel free to experiment with different toppings like bacon, onions, or different sauces. Try adding some spices to the burger patties for extra flavor, such as garlic powder or onion powder.
