Ingredients
  

Broccoli and Sauce

  • 1 pound broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Can use low-sodium if preferred
  • 1 tablespoon honey Can substitute with maple syrup for vegan
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Garnish

  • to taste Sesame seeds Optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together gochujang, olive oil, soy sauce, honey, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the bowl and toss until they are well-coated with the sauce.

Cooking

  • Spread the broccoli on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the broccoli is crispy and tender.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  • Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

For extra crunch, try adding some chopped nuts like almonds or cashews after roasting. Adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang according to your taste. For a more colorful dish, mix in other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots before roasting. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 days.
