  • 1 bunch kale, stems removed and leaves chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the chopped cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in the kale and balsamic vinegar, and continue to sauté until the kale is wilted and tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve warm as a standalone meal or as a side dish.

Notes

Make sure to chop the cabbage and kale into even pieces for consistent cooking. Adjust the amount of garlic based on your preference; you can add more if you love garlic flavor. For a twist on the taste, experiment with vinegar types like apple cider vinegar. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
