  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water Warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Flaky sea salt for topping Use coarse sea salt for better topping effect.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
  • Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, then incorporate minced garlic and chopped rosemary.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes, covered.
  • Divide the dough into muffin tin cups, filling them about halfway.
  • Let rise for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These muffins are best enjoyed warm. Serve with butter or olive oil. To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage. You can also prepare the dough and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before the final rise and baking.
