Ingredients
  

Bread and Cheese

  • 4 slices slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, sourdough)
  • 4 slices slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)

Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 4 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves cloves of garlic (minced)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Optional Garnish

  • fresh herbs (like parsley or basil) For garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with the minced garlic and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  • Add two slices of cheese on top of the bread in the skillet.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, butter-side up.
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown.
  • Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Slice in half and serve.

Notes

Serve this sandwich hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy it plain or alongside salads, soups, or chips for a complete meal. Wrap leftovers in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven. For extra flavor, consider additional ingredients like cooked bacon or spinach.
