French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups

A delicious twist on the classic French dip sandwich, perfect for parties or weeknight dinners. Packed with flavor and served with a warm au jus for dipping.

Ingredients
  

For the roll ups

  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese Use your favorite cheese.
  • 4 large flour tortillas For better texture, use fresh tortillas.
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted) For brushing the tortillas.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavoring the roll ups.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For flavoring the roll ups.
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

For the au jus

  • 2 cups beef broth Use low-sodium broth if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavoring the au jus.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For flavoring the au jus.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lay tortillas flat; fill each with sliced roast beef and cheese down the center.
  • Roll tightly and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley.

Baking

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Making Au Jus

  • Meanwhile, prepare the au jus by simmering broth with Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper for 5–7 minutes.

Serving

  • Slice roll-ups into bite-sized pieces and serve warm with au jus.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving. The au jus can also be stored separately and reheated as needed.
