Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large large flour tortillas, about 12 inches in diameter
  • 8 slices provolone cheese, thinly sliced
  • 12 ounces deli roast beef, freshly sliced
  • 1 cup French fried onions, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil For brushing the roll-ups

Dipping Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 can beef consommé (10.5 ounces)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

Preparation

  • Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface.
  • Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on each tortilla.
  • Add an even layer of deli roast beef on top of the cheese.
  • Sprinkle French fried onions over the beef for extra crunch.
  • Roll each tortilla tightly from one end to the other.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the rolled-up tortillas seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
  • Brush the outside of each roll with olive oil.
  • Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Sauce Preparation

  • While the roll-ups are baking, combine the beef consommé, water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small saucepan.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through.

Serving

  • Slice the roll-ups into bite-sized pieces for easy serving.
  • Serve with the beef dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can reheat them in the oven or microwave until warmed through. The dipping sauce can also be stored in the refrigerator. Use a variety of cheeses for a different flavor; mozzarella or cheddar work well too. Add some sliced bell peppers or mushrooms to the beef for extra veggies.
