Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, and minced garlic. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the sliced chilies and mix well.
  • Let the sauce sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Garnish with cilantro before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Stir before using as ingredients may settle. Adjust sugar and chilies to suit your taste. Experiment with herbs like mint or basil for a twist.
