  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Filling Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Must be at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced Dice small for better blending.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting For serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  • Mix in milk, melted butter, and egg until a dough forms.
  • Roll the dough on a floured surface and shape it into a rectangle.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, strawberries, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough.
  • Roll up the dough tightly and cut it into rolls.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar. Pairs well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for longer storage.
