  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  • Spoon the drained peaches evenly over the batter without stirring.

Baking

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Serving

  • Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

Make sure to drain the canned peaches well so they don't add extra liquid to the batter. You can sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg for added flavor. For a crispy topping, bake for a few extra minutes.
