  • Zest of 2 lemons lemon zest
  • a pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Once the sugar water has cooled, add the fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

Churning

  • Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20-30 minutes.
  • Once it reaches a soft-serve consistency, transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours until firm.

Serving

  • Serve chilled, and enjoy your delightful lemon sorbet in small bowls or elegant glasses.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a sprinkle of lemon zest for added flair.

Notes

To store easy lemon sorbet, keep it in an airtight container in the freezer. It should stay fresh for about 1-2 weeks. When ready to serve, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften before scooping. You can also add a splash of vodka or limoncello for an adult version or mix with other fruits for a varied flavor.
