Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 4 cups cut green beans (canned, frozen, or fresh)
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy French fried onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Spray a 9×9 casserole dish with cooking spray
  • Drain and rinse green beans if using frozen or canned
  • In a large bowl, mix soup, milk, and soy sauce until smooth
  • Add green beans to the mixture and toss to coat
  • Transfer mixture to the prepared casserole dish
  • Spread half (2/3 cup) of crispy fried onions on top
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden
  • Top with remaining fried onions and serve hot

Notes

For lower sodium, use low-sodium sulfate-free cram of mushroom soup
Halal options available; check soup/fried onion packaging
Gluten-free version possible with tamari and gluten-free fried onions
Crispy topping is best when added just before serving
