Ingredients
  

Carrots

  • 1 pound Carrots Peeled and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons Butter Melted in the skillet
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar Adjust according to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Water Just enough to cover the bottom of the skillet
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley Optional for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel and slice the carrots into evenly sized pieces.
  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Cooking

  • Add the carrots, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
  • Pour in enough water to cover the bottom of the skillet.
  • Cover and cook for about 10-15 minutes or until the carrots are tender.
  • Remove the lid and continue cooking until the liquid is reduced and the carrots are glazed.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave before serving again. For a richer flavor, try using olive oil instead of butter.
