Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour seasoned with salt and pepper for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge them in flour, shaking off the excess.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.
  • Stir in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing it to a simmer.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the gravy has thickened.

Serving

  • Serve hot with the gravy poured over the chicken.

Notes

For a creamier gravy, add a splash of heavy cream or sour cream at the end of cooking. You can also use turkey or pork instead of chicken for a different twist. To enhance flavor, consider adding herbs like thyme or rosemary.
