Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Make sure it's melted but not too hot.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Dusting

  • to taste Powdered sugar Optional for dusting.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Baking

  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.

Finishing Touch

  • Allow cookies to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
