  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar Adds acidity and brightness.
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced) Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (minced) Fresh ginger enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil Adds a nutty flavor.

Combine Ingredients

  • In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, chili oil, doubanjiang, sugar, and rice vinegar.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the bowl.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil.
  • Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the flavors according to your preference.

Serve

  • Dumpling sauce is best served fresh. Drizzle it over steamed or fried dumplings and wontons or use it as a dipping sauce.

Notes
