  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken
  • 2 cups frozen hash browns Fresh hash browns can be used as well
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Can use cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until it is cooked through. Be sure to drain any excess fat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, frozen hash browns, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Mix everything well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top it with shredded cheese.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly. Serve warm.

Notes

Allow any leftovers to cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container. You can store the casserole in the refrigerator for up to three days. For a complete meal, serve with a side salad, steamed vegetables, or garlic bread. Enhance flavor with spices like salt, pepper, or garlic powder.
