Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 medium medium green cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, olive oil, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined to create a glaze.
  • Arrange the cabbage wedges on the prepared baking sheet, cut side facing up.
  • Brush the Dijon glaze generously over the cabbage wedges, making sure to coat them well for maximum flavor.

Cooking

  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are crisp and the cabbage is tender. Flip the wedges halfway through for even cooking.
  • Once roasted, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving to add a refreshing touch.

Notes

These roasted cabbage wedges make a great side dish for meats like chicken or pork and pair well with vegetarian meals. They can be served warm, drizzled with extra olive oil or a squeeze of lemon for added zest. If you have leftovers, let them cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
