Ingredients
  

For the Mozzarella Sticks

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese sticks Cut into sticks if not pre-cut
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten Beaten until smooth
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Nashville hot chicken seasoning Adjust to taste
  • 1 cup vegetable oil For frying

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with Nashville hot chicken seasoning.
  • Coat each mozzarella stick first in flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip it in the egg, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the coated sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Transfer the fried sticks to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serving

  • Serve the crispy mozzarella sticks warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best results. Adjust seasoning and try different cheese for variations.
