Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms Use clean, fresh mushrooms for best flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Regular or gluten-free breadcrumbs can be used.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese You may substitute with different cheeses if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped Can be substituted with other herbs.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • Olive oil for drizzling Use for best flavor and to enhance crisping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Clean the mushrooms and pat them dry.
  • In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.

Coating and Baking

  • Dip each mushroom cap into olive oil, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle a little more olive oil on top.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Serve warm as a snack or appetizer, ideally with a dipping sauce.

Notes

Best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container and consume within 1-2 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
